Belly Flop!
He leaped off the top of the ship, and quickly rolled his body, neatly preparing for a fantastic dive into the ocean below.
SMACK!
His body hit the water, starfish shaped in an impressively painful looking belly flop.
“Ow!” we all gasped in unison, looking away from the sight. When he, the Swedish guy bobbed up to the surface with a grin we could see the red welts forming all over his torso.
“All right Tom, your up! Jump!!”
“Yep we definitely lucked out with another young boat” I thought as I watched the Canadian, the Swede and Tom try to out-do each other; jumping from the boat to the inflatable lifeboat before flipping into the ocean.
After all, there certainly weren’t any people flying off the boats into the water from any of the other ships moored near us. Water which is the most incredible electric blue! Blue as in the color of jell-o, listertine, trashy drinks at an overpriced bar in Vegas or something else with 19 chemicals on the ingredients list. The color that inexplicably has replaced white in the center of the Oreos here.
The Galapagos certainly is one of a kind.
